About the Course
As a Tec 50 diver, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to make extended range dives to a maximum of 50 metres/165 feet. You’ll know how to make dives with multiple decompression stops using two decompression gases. It’s not easy to reach this level. Earning your Tec 50 certification opens the door to deeper diving expeditions. There is also an option for divers to earn a Tec 50 Trimix Diver certification.
To enroll in the Tec 50 course, you must meet these qualifications:
- PADI Tec45 Diver
- PADI Enriched Air Diver
- PADI Rescue Diver (Proof of CPR/First Aid training within the previous two years required)
- PADI Deep Diver or proof of 10 dives to 30 metres/100 feet or deeper
- 100 logged dives
- 18 years old
Whats Included
- Standard twinset equipment: harness, backplate, twin Cylinders, twinset regulators with an SPG.
- Two cylinders of decompression gas with up to 100 percent oxygen,we normally use (EANx50) & (EANx80) to add conservatism to the required decompression.
- Tec 50 eLearning.
- Gas fills.
- PADI Certification eCARD
Whats not Included
- Entrance to the inland sites.
- Any hire kit you may need.
- Trimix Gas if required.
- You must have a Drysuit and be trained to use it and be comfortable at depth.
- Be able to deploy an SMB midwater.
You also need to have a Diver Medical Form signed by a physician within the last 12 months.
Note that qualifying certifications from other diver training organizations may apply – ask your PADI Tec 40 Instructor.
